Lonzo’s Bread & Peruvian Eatery: This place is a hidden gem in Culver city. Mom and pop Peruvian restaurant that knows what its doing. Came here for lunch on a Wednesday and it wasn’t busy.
Lonzo’s Bread can give some local Peruvians a run for their money. I ordered, fried plantains, had their seafood ceviche mix (Seobass-seafood medley, leche de tigre, aji limo, cancha, choclo, baked yam). Well, let’s just say it was damn good. HUGE plate, so please do share amongst friends.
Tiny restaurant, there’s about five tables inside but service and food are unbeatable and it looks like they are quite popular for takeout. The food really should be enjoyed fresh and I look forward to coming back here! Food comes out fresh, so can take a while but not to long. They give you time to go over the menu and decide, not bum rush you to take your order and push you out their restaurant like some other establishments. Overall great find and great place to eat, will definitely be going back again.
