Chicken and Shrimp Stew

This is a very simple and easy recipe to create right in your kitchen. It has a lot of wonderful flavor and taste well blended together. It's good for dinner for the family.


  • 1LB of Large shrimp
  • 1 pack of diced chicken breast
  • 1 Tbs chicken flavor bouillon (Brand: Knorr)
  • 1/2 Tbs brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp red crushed pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 can of hunts crushed tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbs olive oil
  • 1/2 diced red and green pepper
  • 1 Tb of diced onions
  • Diced fresh basil
  • Diced green onions for garnishing


  1. Coat the bottom of the pan with olive oil, or a mixture of olive oil and butter (about 1 teaspoon). Heat the pan on medium high heat until the oil is shimmering. Add the onion and stir to coat the onions with the oil.
  2. Add chicken and shrimp into the pan season with chicken bouillon, red crushed pepper, oregano, and garlic powder. Gentle stir and mix together, cook for about 10 minutes or until the chicken and shrimp are cooked and tender.
  3. Add in red and green peppers stir together. Add in Hunts tomato sauce, fresh basil and brown sugar. Stir the sauce into the chicken and shrimp.
  4. Lower the heat and allow the stew to cook for about 10-15 minutes. Every 5 minutes, you should gentle stir up the stew together to make sure all the flavor and blended/mixed well together.
  5. Once it's ready and done, allow the stir to cool down for a little. Garnish with diced green onions. This meal is great served with brown rice.
