Fresh Alaskan Sweet and Spicy White Cod Fillet Sandwich
Ingredients
- Slice of Fresh Alaskan White Cod Fillet
- 1 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon organic sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1-2 teaspoon salt
- 1-2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 - 2 teaspoon red crushed peppers
- 1 organic egg
- 2 Slice of Pumpernickel bread
Instructions
- Chop onions, peppers and kale leaves. Fry with 1 teaspoon of oil (I used sesame oil) in a frying pan. Allow to cook for about 2 minutes.
- Combine all ingredients (sugar, soy sauce, red crushed pepper) with kale and peppers in the sauce pan. Gentle mix until sugar is dissolved and sauce has a creamy texture to it. (see picture above).
- Preheat pan with oil. season both sides of the fish with salt and black pepper. Place fillet on pan and fry on each side for about 5 minutes. (If using a pan, make sure you cover the pan so the fillet cooks properly on both sides)
- Add 1 teaspoon of butter or use non sticky cook spray to a small frying pan, prepare the egg on both sides.
- Warm up the Pumpernickel, when ready top with fillet, eggs, and sweet and spicy veggies sauce.
